Detection of lungworm larvae by the Baermann method.
Measurement of beta-hydroxybutyrate by automated analyzer.
0.5 mL serum
Measurement of direct bilirubin by automated analyzer.
0.5 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma
Measurement of total bilirubin by automated analyzer.
Detection of antibodies to Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis, Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis, and small ruminant lentiviruses (caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) virus / ovine progressive pneumonia (OPP)).
1 mL serum
Microscopic WBC differential, cellular morphology, and hemoparasite exam.
1-2 air-dried blood smear slides
Detection of bluetongue virus (BTV) and epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV) by multiplex real time PCR.
Detection of antibodies to bluetongue virus by agar gel immunodiffusion.
