  • 2 cups to 1 quart of GI content
  • 20 mL water
  • 500 g feed
  • 2-4 flakes hay
  • 10 g bait material

Collection Container
  • GI content, feed, hay, bait: sealed, leak-proof plastic bag or container. 
  • Water: sealed, leak-proof container.
Packing Instructions

Label all samples. Ship overnight on cold packs.

Special Instructions

The testing schedule reflects days this test is initiated. Samples must be received in the testing section by 3:30pm the day prior to scheduled test day, otherwise samples will be held until the next scheduled test day. Turnaround time represents the estimated number of business days needed for sample preparation, microscopic evaluation, quality review, and result reporting.
 
Turnaround times may decrease if adequate clinical context is available (e.g., geographical location, clinical signs). Turnaround times may be extended during periods of increased sample submission.
