TVMDL’s Veterinary Services Section is composed of client services and sample receiving services, in addition to services provided by TVMDL’s veterinary diagnosticians. TVMDL’s client services are the truest representation of the agency. Staff in this section answer client calls and input data to ensure the rest of the laboratory has the information necessary to efficiently assist clients.
Staff in TVMDL’s sample receiving section sort incoming specimen submissions. On average, this section sorts 500 to 800 submissions each day. Attention to detail, precision, and strong work ethics are just some of the qualities embodied by the staff in this section.
TVMDL’s veterinary diagnosticians provide guidance and direction to clients on diagnostic tests requested, case development, and case reporting. Staff also delivers presentations, educational programs and training for students, veterinarians, producers and industry partners at the state, national and international level.
