All non-export samples will be screened with the canine Brucella multiplex assay; samples with non-negative results will undergo confirmatory testing with the Slide Agglutination Test/AGID tests.

Specimen
One of the following: fixed tissue, paraffin embedded tissue, 10 unstained formalin-fixed tissue sections on positively charged slides. Slide preparation at TVMDL using submitted tissue will incur a $14.50 charge.
Measurement of c-reactive protein (CRP) in dogs. This test is useful to confirm the presence of underlying inflammation (particularly in the absence of other clinical or laboratory indicators of inflammation) and to monitor response to therapy.
