Owais Khan, BVSc, MVSc, DACVM

Molecular Diagnostics and Virology Section Head

Dr. Khan graduated from Birsa Agricultural University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree in 2001. After graduation, Dr. Khan earned a Master of Veterinary Science with an emphasis in veterinary microbiology from Gujarat Agricultural University. He is also a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists (Dip. ACVM) with specialties in virology, bacteriology, and mycology.

Dr. Khan has an extensive diagnostic and research background. Previously, he worked as a veterinary microbiologist specializing in avian diseases while at Central Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and at the Animal Diagnostic Laboratory at Pennsylvania State University.
