Dr. Terry Hensley is the Assistant Agency Director for Diagnostic Services at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL). He earned his DVM at Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He has a B.S. degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science and an M.S. degree in Poultry Science both from Texas A&M University. After spending time in private practice, he spent most of his career working for USDA, before coming to TVMDL. Dr. Hensley has a special interest in equine diseases, wildlife disease (both in free ranging populations and captive wildlife), and disease interactions between wildlife and domestic livestock, as well as emerging infectious diseases.
