0.5 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma

Sampling Requirements

Recommended testing protocol:

  1. Collect pre-hCG blood sample.
  2. Administer hCG. For dogs or cats at 50 IU/kg IM, note time. For horses at 30 IU/kg IM without exceeding 15,000 IU/horse; note time.
  3. Collect the post-hCG blood sample 24 hours administration of hCG.
  4. Avoid hemolysis.

Collection Container

Remove from red cells and place sample in an additive free transport tube.

Packing Instructions

Label all samples. Ship overnight on cold packs.
