Sampling Requirements

A series of three fecal collections one week apart is recommended. The three samples from the same bird may go in the same tube. Adding a few drops of sterile saline will help keep the samples moist. Send samples on cold packs.  

Collection Container

Sealed, leak-proof plastic bag or container.

Packing Instructions

Label all samples. Refrigerate prior to shipment. Ship on cold packs.

Special Instructions

Testing on one sample type is $30.00. Testing for two sample types is $45.00.This test is performed at the University of Georgia Infectious Disease Laboratory in Athens, GA. Prices listed for tests performed outside TVMDL may not include referral lab accession fees and are subject to change without notice. A processing and forwarding fee is added to all referral tests. Turnaround times vary depending on shipping time and the referral lab's schedule.
