Initial Training for New Testers
The Texas Pullorum-Typhoid (PT) Program currently boasts over 300 certified testers. These testers coupled with those from the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) are providing adequate testing services in all regions of the state. At this time, the Texas PT Program does not plan to certify additional testers in 2023.
Flock owners in need of PT testing can contact a current authorized using the online roster or by contacting the nearest regional TAHC office.
Veterinarians interested in becoming certified to test for PT should contact the PT Office at pt-program@tvmdl.tamu.edu.
