Sampling Requirements

Collect a random subsample in 10 - 15 areas within a given location or field (not to exceed 40 acres). Grasp a handful of the forage and cut at normal haying height. Combine all 10 - 15 subsamples and place into an appropriate paper sack or envelope. 

Collection Container

Sealed paper sack or envelope. Avoid using plastic bags, fertilizer bags, or feed sacks, as these containers may produce inaccurate results. Label sack or envelope with appropriate identification for field.

Packing Instructions

Label all samples.

This test is performed at the Texas A&M AgriLife Soil, Water and Forage Testing Laboratory in College Station, TX. Prices listed for tests performed outside TVMDL may not include referral lab accession fees and are subject to change without notice. A processing aand forwarding fee is added to all referral tests. Turnaround times vary depending on shipping time and the referral lab's schedule.
