Specimen | 10 mL EDTA whole blood and 5 g feces or fecal swab. For post mortem testing, 0.5 g mucosal scraping. |
Sampling Requirements | Two specimens per animal (i.e., blood and feces) are recommended for PCR analysis. |
Collection Container | Blood: EDTA (purple top) tube. Feces, swab, scraping: sealed, leak-proof plastic bag or container. |
Packing Instructions | Label all samples. Ship overnight on cold packs in an insulated container. |
