Expertise and Consultation

Diagnostic Consultation 

TVMDL employs some of the nation’s foremost subject matter experts across all diagnostic disciplines. Overall, TVMDL employs 165 staff at four locations. Amongst this team are 35+ professionals who hold a DVM and/or PhD in addition to 12 professionals with board certifications in their specialty area. Professionals are available to provide expertise and assist in helping solve difficult cases.

TVMDL’s subject matter experts are available to answers questions about testing processes and results.  TVMDL prides itself on our tradition of providing outstanding customer service to ensure the veterinarian, animal owner, researcher, or ranch manager understands the results of our tests.

Clinical Experience

In addition to section-specific experts, TVMDL employs five veterinary diagnosticians whose primary responsibilities are to assist clients with result interpretation, testing guidance, and consultation. 

TVMDL’s veterinary diagnosticians offer various years of clinical, regulatory, and practice experience. As a result, they know that with every question, an animal’s life or client’s livelihood could be affected and therefore will make sure they provide clients with quick and thorough information. This team of professionals are also available to assist with other diagnostics-related efforts, including development and delivery of programs on herd health, management/quality assurance in livestock systems, utilizing diagnostics in veterinary practice, best practices for collecting and shipping samples, and how to select and interpret diagnostic results.
