Analytical Chemistry Turnaround Times

Due to instrumentation updates, Analytical Chemistry drug testing may experience temporary delays of as much as 5 business days. Standard turnaround times are expected to resume by December 1, 2025.

Analytical Chemistry

  • Trace Mineral Panel (ICP/MS)

    Measurement of trace minerals by inductively-coupled plasma/mass spectrometry.  Targets include copper, cobalt, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, and zinc.  A tissue/feed prep fee will be added to tissue and feed specimens. 

  • Cobalt (ICP/MS)

    Measurement of cobalt by inductively-coupled plasma/mass spectrometry. A $11.25 sample preparation fee will be added to tissue and feed specimens.

  • Copper (ICP/MS)

    Measurement of copper by inductively-coupled plasma/mass spectrometry. A $11.25 sample preparation fee will be added to tissue and feed specimens.

  • Cyanide (Colorimetric)

    Detection of cyanide by colorimetric analysis.

  • Drug Screen – Beta Agonists in Hair or Feathers (LC/MS)

    Detection of beta-agonist drugs in hair, wool, or feathers by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry. Targets include clenbuterol, ractopamine, zilpaterol, bambuterol, and albuterol.

  • Drug Screen – Drugs of Abuse (LC/MS)

    Detection of amphetamines, benzodiazepines, promazines, barbiturates, opiates, marijuana, and other drug types by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry.  Targets include: amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA, bromazepam, demoxepam, diazepam, etizolam, flunitrazepam, lorazepam, midazolam, nordazepam, prazepam, temazepam, acepromazine, 2-(1-hydroxyethyl) promazine sulfoxide (2-HEPS), chlorpromazine, propionylpromazine, promethazine, allobarbital, aprobarbital, phenobarbital, pentobarbital, secobarbital, alfentanil, buprenorphine, butorphanol, codeine, fentanyl, heroin, hydrocodone, levorphanol, morphine, oxymorphone,…

  • Drug Screen – Long Acting Tranquilizers (LC/MS)

    Detection of long acting tranquilizers by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry.  Targets include trazodone, fluphenazine, fluoxetine, reserpine, acepromazine, guanabenz, romifidine, xylazine, and detomidine.

  • Iron – Feed or Tissue (ICP/MS)

    Measurement of iron in feed or tissue samples by inductively-coupled plasma/mass spectrometry. A $11.25 sample preparation fee will be added to tissue and feed specimens.

  • Itraconazole (LC/MS)

    Measurement of therapeutic levels of itraconazole by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. TVMDL offers a peak and trough measurement or a single measurement.

  • Lead (ICP/MS)

    Measurement of lead by inductively-coupled plasma/mass spectrometry. A $11.25 sample preparation fee will be added to tissue and feed specimens.
