On July 1, Katie Kleinhenz, DVM, MS, joined the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) in Canyon as a veterinary pathologist.
In 2002, Kleinhenz earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from The Ohio State University. Following graduation, she completed a training program at the Dairyland Hoof Care Institute in Baraboo, Wisconsin. In 2012, she earned her doctorate and in 2013 a master’s degree, both from The Ohio State University. Kleinhenz also received training at the Summer Dairy Institute at Cornell University.
She comes to TVMDL from Kansas State University where she completed a veterinary/anatomic pathology residency. Prior to her residency, Kleinhenz completed a post doctorate and served as an agricultural specialist at Iowa State University.
While at TVMDL, Kleinhenz will be part of a pathology team responsible for serving the state’s leading cattle producing region.
