Starting December 30, the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) will no longer offer Ammonia (Distilation). Requests for this test have remained consistently low the past two years.
As an alternative, clients interested in testing for ammonia are encouraged to submit samples to the Iowa State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. This offering is more cost effective and can be performed on more matrices.
For more information on TVMDL’s test offerings, visit tvmdl.tamu.edu or call one of the agency’s four laboratory locations.
