The Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) is pleased to announce the addition of a drug screen for beta-agonists in hair and wool for livestock species.
Similar to retinal tissue, hair and wool have been shown to retain beta-agonist drugs for an extended period (i.e. months) following administration. This test is intended to replace retinal tissue testing and provide non-terminal shows with the option to test for beta-agonist drugs that might not be detectable in urine or blood.
Test: Drug Screen – Beta-Agonists in Hair (LC/MS)
Test Code: 1021
Turnaround Time: This test is performed at the College Station laboratory with results in 7 business days.
Price: $100
