On January 6, Randi Gold, VMD, PhD, DACVP joined the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) in College Station as a veterinary pathologist.
In 2003, Dr. Gold earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Ursinus College. After graduation, she earned a Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and a Doctor of Philosophy in veterinary microbiology from Texas A&M University in 2015.
Throughout her academic career, she completed internships at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University and the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center. In 2018 she completed an anatomic pathology residency at Texas A&M University and is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists
Dr. Gold comes to TVMDL from the Gastrointestinal Laboratory at Texas A&M University where she was a post-doctoral research associate. She has advanced training in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology and a passion for orthopedic, oral cavity, and maxillofacial pathology.
