Collection Container

Sealed, leak-proof, wide mouth plastic container. Samples submitted in glass containers are not acceptable and will incur an additional processing charge. 

Packing Instructions

Label all samples. Ship at ambient temperature.

Special Instructions

This test is performed at the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) in College Station, TX. Prices for tests performed outside TVMDL may not include lab accession and forwarding fees and are subject to change without notice. Turnaround times vary depending on shipping time and the referral lab's schedule. 

Interpretation is performed by a dermatopathologist on specimens submitted from veterinary dermatologists, general veterinary clinicians, and university veterinary teaching hospitals. 

Additional slides over 2 are $13.50 per slide, duplicate slides are $13.50 each. 

STAT service is not available for dermatopathology.
