Blood inoculated into blood culture media.
Detection of antibodies to ovine progressive pneumonia (OPP) virus in ovine, and caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) virus in caprine by competitive ELISA.
1 mL serum
Special slide stain as requested by the client.

Measurement of thyroid hormone T3 (triiodothyronine) by chemiluminescence.
0.5 mL serum
Measurement of thyroid hormone T4 (thyroxine) by chemiluminescence.
Measurement of testosterone by chemiluminescence.
0.5 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma
Measurement of thallium by inductively-coupled plasma/mass spectrometry. A tissue/feed prep fee will be added to tissue and feed specimens.
One or more of the following:
For birds, 0.30 mL EDTA whole blood is adequate.
Measurement of total protein by automated analyzer.
Measurement of total protein and albumin by automated analyzer. Includes calculation of globulin and albumin/globulin (A/G) ratio.
Identification of components and toxic substances, such as plants and plant parts, algae, insects, or bait material.
