Identification of acid-fast bacterial pathogens by acid fast stain / differential stain.
Identification of bacterial pathogens requiring an anaerobic environment by culture.
Classification of bacterial organism based on Gram stain characteristic.
One of the following:
Detection of lungworm larvae by the Baermann method.
Measurement of bile acid concentration by automated analyzer. References are available for 2-hours post-prandial blood samples or fasted blood samples.
0.5 mL serum, lithium heparin plasma, or EDTA plasma
Measurement of direct bilirubin by automated analyzer.
0.5 mL serum or lithium heparin plasma
Measurement of total bilirubin by automated analyzer.
Detection of antibodies to Blastomyces dermatitidis, the causative agent of blastomycosis, by agar gel immunodiffusion.
Microscopic WBC differential, cellular morphology, and hemoparasite exam.
