Serology

  • Chicken Anemia Virus (ELISA)

Detection of antibodies to chicken anemia virus by ELISA in chickens only.

  • Chronic Wasting Disease – 1 Tissue (ELISA)

Detection of abnormal prion protein, the suspected causative agent of chronic wasting disease (CWD), by ELISA. This test is for one sample type, either the retropharyngeal lymph nodes OR obex.

  • Chronic Wasting Disease – 2 Tissues (ELISA)

Detection of abnormal prion protein, the suspected causative agent of chronic wasting disease (CWD), by ELISA. This test is for both the retropharyngeal lymph node AND obex.

  • Coxiella burnetii (IFA)

Detection of antibodies to Coxiella burnetii Phases I and II, the causative agent of Q fever, in serum via indirect fluorescent antibody; tested at 1:64, 1:128, 1:256, 1:512, 1:1024, and 1:2048 dilutions.

  • Fungal Panel I

Detection of antibodies to Blastomyces, Coccidioides, and Histoplasma by agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID).  The AGID produces a qualitative positive or negative result for common fungal agents but does not show a rise or decline in antibody level (titer) when paired sera are tested.

  • Fungal Panel II

Detection of antibodies to Blastomyces, Coccidioides, and Histoplasma, by agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID); and antigen to Cryptococcus neoformans by latex agglutination. All techniques can be used for diagnostic purposes.

  • Leishmania infantum (IFA)

Detection of antibodies to Leishmania infantum by indirect fluorescent antibody test. Performed at 1:64, 1:128, 1:256, 1:512, 1:1024, and 1:2048 dilutions.

  • Small Ruminant Lentivirus (cELISA)

Detection of antibodies to ovine progressive pneumonia (OPP) virus in ovine, and caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) virus in caprine by competitive ELISA.

  • Tick Panel I (IFA)

Detection of antibodies to common tick-borne pathogens by indirect fluorescent antibody test. Targets include Ehrlichia canis, Rickettsia rickettsii, and Borrelia burgdorferi. Performed at 1:64, 1:128, 1:256, 1:512, 1:1024, and 1:2048 dilutions.

  • Avian Influenza Virus – Serum (AGID)

Detection of antibodies to avian influenza virus in serum by AGID. This test is only performed to screen healthy birds for avian influenza antibodies. Samples from birds with clinical signs must order Avian Influenza Matrix (rtPCR).
