Necropsy

  • Tuberculosis Screen

    Visual examination of fresh or fixed retropharyngeal lymph node or head to identify suspect lesions. Special stains/culture are performed as deemed appropriate based on gross examination.

  • Necropsy – Food & Production Animals 200 lbs. and Under

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death.  This test is meant for cattle, small ruminants (sheep, goats), pigs, and camelids (alpacas, llamas). Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Small Mammals

    Post-mortem examination and dissection to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. This test is meant for pocket pets, rabbits, rodents, and other small mammals. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Companion & Exotics 51 lbs. and Over

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Companion & Exotics 50 lbs. and Under

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Equine Under 200 lbs.

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Equine 1001-2000 lbs.

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Poultry Hatchery

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues for surveillance purposes. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.

  • Necropsy – Avian, Reptiles & Amphibians

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole animal to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees. Avian species such as love birds, cockatiels, etc. are included in this test. For poultry species (chickens, ducks, turkeys, quail, geese, guinea, etc.), please request “Necropsy-Poultry”.  

  • Necropsy – Aborted Fetus or Fertile Egg

    Post-mortem examination and dissection of a whole fetus or egg to harvest tissues and determine a cause of death. Legal or insurance necropsies will incur additional processing fees.
