Analytical Chemistry Turnaround Times

Due to instrumentation updates, Analytical Chemistry drug testing may experience temporary delays of as much as 5 business days. Standard turnaround times are expected to resume by December 1, 2025.

Clinical Pathology

  • Hemoparasite Examination (Wright-Giemsa Stain)

    Microscopic examination of Wright’s Giemsa stained blood smear for infectious agents only.

  • Reticulocyte Count

    Automated count of reticulocytes to aid in classification of anemias as regenerative or non-regenerative. Manual counts performed, if indicated.

  • ALKP

    Measurement of alkaline phosphatase (ALKP) activity by automated analyzer.

  • ALT

    Measurement of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity by automated analyzer.

  • AST

    Measurement of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity by automated analyzer.

  • Bile Acid

    Measurement of bile acid concentration by automated analyzer. References are available for 2-hours post-prandial blood samples or fasted blood samples.

  • Beta-Hydroxybutyrate

    Measurement of beta-hydroxybutyrate by automated analyzer.

  • Bilirubin – Direct

    Measurement of direct bilirubin by automated analyzer.

  • Bilirubin – Total

    Measurement of total bilirubin by automated analyzer.

  • Calcium

    Measurement of calcium by automated analyzer.
