Dimitrov authors chapters in Merck Veterinary Manual over Newcastle disease

Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) Assistant Agency Director for Microbiology and Research and Develop, Kiril Dimitrov, DVM, PhD, recently authored two chapters in the Merck Veterinary Manual. His chapters cover a comprehensive overview of Newcastle disease. Newcastle disease is a severe, systemic, and fatal viral disease of poultry due to virulent strains of avian paramyxovirus type 1. Virulent NDV is capable of producing a devastating disease in domestic fowl, with vast social and economic consequences. Both chapters are available for viewing in the Merck Veterinary Manual.
