TVMDL’s College Station lab serves as the agency headquarters. This lab employs approximately 120 employees across all testing disciplines offered by TVMDL.

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday morning,  8 a.m. – 12 p.m.**

*Due to this lab’s on campus location, samples shipped via USPS are sorted through university postal hubs. This process adds additional transit time.
**Staff are only available to accept and accession packages. Necropsy services are available Monday-Friday during regular business hours.

General Questions

When calling the lab with a case-specific question, please have the following information available to best assist TVMDL staff in answering your questions.

Information for general consultations

  • Previous or current TVMDL accession number
  • Pertinent testing done at TVMDL or at another lab
  • Signalment
  • Vaccination history
  • Working differential diagnosis

Additional information for production animal consultations

  • Production type
  • History of current condition in the population
  • Clinical signs in other animals
  • Morbidity percentage/mortality percentage in the population

As a reminder, TVMDL can only share case information with the Submitting Client per the agency’s client confidentiality policy.

Physical Directions

The TVMDL College Station lab at 483 Agronomy Road is located off University Drive. Driving west down University Drive, go under the overpass at Wellborn Road. At the next light, take a right onto Agronomy Road. We’re located approximately .5 miles down, on the left (west) side of Agronomy Rd.

Drop Off Information

Routine samples delivered on weekdays after 4:30 p.m. will be accessioned the next business day. Secure, climate controlled specimen lockers are available 24/7/365. Large animals delivered after hours that require assistance from TVMDL personnel will incur an additional fee.
