Josué Díaz-Delgado, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVP recently joined the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) in College Station as a veterinary pathologist.
In 2010, Dr. Díaz-Delgado earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in Spain. After graduation, he pursued a master’s degree from the Institute of Animal Health and Food Safety (IUSA) at ULPGC and completed that program in 2011. In 2015, Dr. Delgado earned his PhD from IUSA at ULPGC. He earned his PhD, while simultaneously completing an anatomic pathology residency in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Texas A&M University in 2016. That year, he also became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
Dr. Delgado comes to TVMDL from a post doctorate appointment at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.
Throughout his academic career Dr. Delgado focused his research efforts on marine mammal pathology, authoring or co-authoring over 60 peer-reviewed articles across international scientific journals and presenting over 100communications at various conferences.
