Recently, the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory’s (TVMDL) four veterinary diagnosticians were recognized as part of the Texans Caring for Texans program. Dr. Terry Hensley, Dr. Guy Sheppard, and Dr. Cheryl Maguire at TVMDL-College Station and Dr. Jessie Monday at TVMDL-Amarillo were recognized as having a positive impact on the Texas Panhandle’s veterinary services.
“The veterinarians in the veterinary services section at TVMDL are the main interface with the animal industry in the Panhandle,” TVMDL-Amarillo Resident Director Dr. Gayman Helman said. “They interact with veterinarians, producers, and animal owners answering health-related questions and providing expert guidance to develop the most informative and economic diagnostic plan to get an answer and solve the problem. Dr. Hensley, Dr. Sheppard, Dr. Maguire, and Dr. Monday work tirelessly to help maintain a healthy and stable animal population in the High Plains of Texas.”
TVMDL’s veterinary diagnosticians were recognized with other state employees during an awards ceremony on August 9.
