The Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) is pleased to announce the addition of a panel used in the identification of infectious agents associated with bovine pinkeye. Tests included in this panel: Livestock aerobic & anaerobic culture, Mycoplasma spp. PCR, Bovine herpesvirus 1 qPCR, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing if culture yields bacteria. Mycoplasma culture can be run at additional cost if a charcoal bacteriology swab is also included. The ability of the lab to utilize the full panel is dependent upon the correct samples being submitted.
Panel: Bovine Infectious Keratoconjunctivitis (Pinkeye) Panel
Turnaround: This panel is performed at both the College Station and Amarillo laboratories Monday-Friday with results in 1 to 8 business days.
