We recently brought aboard Dr. Lindsey Holmstrom to serve as a diagnostic epidemiologist for TVMDL in College Station. She will hold a joint appointment with TVMDL and the FAZD Center. Before coming to TVMDL, Dr. Holmstrom was a primary investigator for the Center for Animal Disease Modeling and Surveillance at the University of California, Davis.
She is a Ph.D. candidate in epidemiology at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of California, Davis. She is also a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Fellow.
Dr. Holmstrom earned a bachelor of science in economics from Baylor University in Waco in 2002, a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M University in 2006, and a certificate in geographic information systems from Texas A&M in 2008.
She will also work on several project collaborations between the FAZD Center and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Centers for Epidemiology and Animal Health.
