This test is designed to be done on groups of 10-15 clinically normal transitional heifers or cows. Groups of transitional heifers should be evaluated separately from groups of transitional cows. The Ruminant Chemistry Profile, Ruminant Macromineral and Electrolyte panel, Ruminant Energy Profile, or Ruminant Liver Profile should be utilized on individual, clinically abnormal animals. A reference mean spreadsheet will not be generated for group submissions with <10 samples.
Tests include Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Albumin, BUN, Glucose, Cholesterol, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Non-esterified Fatty Acids, NEFA:Cholesterol, Beta-hydroxybutyrate.
