Bovine biochemistry panel designed for herd level investigation and monitoring of management and/or nutritional driven risk factors for disease or suboptimal performance in dry dairy cattle. This test is designed to be done on groups of 10-15 clinically normal dry heifers or cows. Groups of heifers should be evaluated separately from groups of cows. The test groups can be spilt into close-up dry and far-off dry cattle if requested and properly identified on submission. The Ruminant Chemistry Profile, Ruminant Macromineral and Electrolyte panel, Ruminant Energy Profile, or Ruminant Liver Profile should be utilized on clinically abnormal individual animals. A reference mean spreadsheet will not be generated for group submissions with <10 samples.
Tests: Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Albumin, BUN, Glucose, Cholesterol, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Non-esterified Fatty Acids, NEFA:Cholesterol
