  1.  How do I get to TVMDL?
    Answer:
    TVMDL has laboratories in College Station, Center, Gonzales, and Amarillo. For driving directions, see the locations and hours section.
  2.  How do I send a sample / How do I ship to TVMDL?
    Answer:
    There are many laws and regulations that are involved with shipping samples. General information may be found in Shipping Specimens section of the web site.
  3.  I have a question about my bill. Whom do I contact?
    Answer:
    For billing questions or copies of invoices, contact TVMDL’s Finance Section by e-mail at payments@tvmdl.tamu.edu or call (979)-458-3207.
  4.  Does TVMDL bill third party?
    Answer:
    No.

Billing

  1. Do I need a credit account before I am able to use TVMDL’s services?
    Answer:
    No; you may send a sample, but prepayment is required.  Please see the forms page for more information.
  2. Does TVMDL accept credit cards?
    Answer: Yes; Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted.
  3. If I submit the Prepayment Credit Card Form with a case, will my card number be kept on file?
    Answer: No; once the case has been completed, the card will be processed and the information will be destroyed.
  4. Why is there a price differential between in-state and out-of-state submitters?
    Answer: TVMDL is an agency of the State of Texas, receiving funds appropriated by the Texas Legislature.  Residents of Texas, through taxes, support the services provided by TVMDL.
  5. How do I update my contact information?
    Answer: mail your request to billing@tvmdl.tamu.edu or contact one of our four locations.

 Histopathology

  1.  Can I have paraffin blocks mailed to me or someone else?
    Answer:
    No. Paraffin blocks are the basis of TVMDL’s histopathology archive.
  2.  Can I have slides mailed to me or someone else?
    Answer:
    Yes. Additional slides may be mailed to you at a cost of $10 (in state) or $14 (out-of-state) plus cost of shipping.
