Answer: The TVMDL System has laboratories in College Station, Center, Gonzales, and Amarillo. For driving directions, see the Laboratory Location section of the web site. - How do I send a sample / How do I ship to TVMDL?
Answer: There are many laws and regulations that are involved with shipping samples. General information may be found in Shipping Specimens section of the web site. - I have a question about my bill. Who do I contact?

Answer: No.
Histopathology
- Can I have paraffin blocks mailed to me or someone else?
Answer: No. Paraffin blocks are the basis of TVMDL's Histopathology archive. - Can I have slides mailed to me or someone else?
Answer: Yes. Additional slides may be mailed to you at a cost of $10 (in state) or $14 (out-of-state) plus cost of shipping.
Molecular Diagnostics
- What is the difference between Serology (ELISA) and PCR?
Answer: Serology looks for antibodies, which tells you that the animal has been exposed or possibly vaccinated. PCR picks up the virus/bacteria's DNA, so it will tell you that the animal currently has an infection. - What is the sensitvity of PCR compared to another method of testing?
