Digital toxicology added to TVMDL test catalog

September 28, 2018 by Mallory Pfeifer

The Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) is pleased to announce the addition of digital toxicology to our test catalog. This test allows clients to submit images of potentially hazardous materials for evaluation via email or through the TVMDL Mobile phone app. By using digital toxicology, clients can get results from toxicology evaluations without the hassle of shipping materials to our laboratory.

Test: Digital Plant ID
Specimen: 2-10 digital images (plant, blister beetle, mushroom, etc.) saved as JPEG or PNG files. If sent with a smart phone, images should be sent as “medium” size. Submissions must include the digital toxicology submission form (PDF) and images submitted to DigitalToxicology@tvmdl.tamu.edu. Submissions can also be made using the TVMDL Mobile app.
Price: $15 per item identified
Turnaround: Monday through Friday with results in 1 to 5 business days

For more information on this test, download the digital toxicology handout. To learn more about digital toxicology and other TVMDL test offerings, visit tvmdl.tamu.edu or call 1.888.646.5623.
