Julie Piccione, DVM, MS, DACVP, is set to present a wet lab over the use of the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory’s (TVMDL) digital cytology services. Hosted by the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the canine conference will offer attendees the opportunity to learn about cost-effective analgesia methods, wound management, and copper chelation in the liver, in addition to other veterinary topics.
Digital cytology services provide cytologic diagnoses from clinical pathologists within an hour of submission, allowing for rapid clinical intervention. In Dr. Piccione’s interactive section, attendees will learn how to quickly evaluate cytology slides to take representative images with smartphone technology. Images can be used for client education, internal medical records, and for digital cytology services.
